In an effort to not have a bajillionty more cans of pears in my pantry, I thought I'd let everyone know that my parent's pear tree is VERY VERY FULL OF FRUIT this year, and it is nearing time to start picking the millions of pears and doing things with them.  My family and I canned pears, froze pears and made pear butter two years ago, and we STILL have jars and jars of them around.  Because this tree is on like, pear steroids or something.  Let me reiterate: THERE ARE A LOT OF PEARS! 

So, in an effort to not have another bajillionty cans of pears around (and to not have to process all those cans, oy vey!), I thought I'd see who all would like some pears.  For free!  We don't spray the trees so there's no pesticide residue, although this does mean that the fruit is au naturale and not always visually appealing, but they are quite yummy when ripe!  If you want to go and pick your own pears off the tree, let me know!  I'll get you in contact with my folks to set up a time.  I don't know when dad will do the picking himself, but when we get them in I'll let you know if you've claimed interest in receiving some of them. 

In short: please - take some pears!  Grin

Ok guys - the tree took a bit longer than anticipated, but dad said he's ready to start picking ASAP.  Whomever wants pears, can you at least stop by for craft night on Thursday to pick them up?  I've got a lot of plans in the evenings this week, so Thursday would work best.  If you want pears and you can't make it then, let me know and we can set something else up.  Smiley
