Membership

The ShadowGrove community includes people from many different paths. Wiccans, Druids, pantheists, animists, and others who find that wisdom and magic can be found in the infinite complexity of the natural world...all of these are welcome in our community. We exclude no one on the basis of belief. We operate under the idea that our differences make us stronger, and provide each of us with more opportunities to learn. Any person who wishes to explore the spiritual universe while being respectful to themselves, to one another, and to nature itself, is welcome at ShadowGrove.

Since the Grove was created, many of its members have become a family (and, in fact, several refer to our community as their "Chosen Family"). When the Grove grounds needed some work, over twenty people showed up, some from several hours' drive away, with tools and smiles and a willingness to work all day to help make our spiritual home a more beautiful place. When a fire struck the home of two of our family, a team of Grove members showed up to help them salvage and move everything they could from their apartment. In the time that we have known one another, we have formed a bond of caring and friendship as a community, and we have begun to understand how rare and special that is. Through these bonding experiences our first dedicated members emerged. Now we offer membership to those who wish to become a part of this "chosen family".

Bylaws

ShadowGrove is currently undergoing a structural reorganization. As a result, the bylaws that were adopted in effect as of November 2009 have been stricken, and a new organizational document is scheduled to be announced soon. Please bear with us during this time. How do I become a member of ShadowGrove?

In order to become a member of ShadowGrove, we ask that you first attend one of our open events as a guest so that you can get a feel for who we are and what we do and so that we can get to know you as well. We offer several such events throughout the year and information about these can be found on our calendar page. Once you have attended one of our events, you are welcome to discuss your interest in becoming a member with one of our members of clergy. We will be happy to explain the full details of membership to you at that time.
